Open Gardens
Britain’s best kept secret gardens are raising money for people in crisis.
Discover hidden gems and stunning landscapes with Open Gardens
From March to October, choose from a variety of beautiful gardens across the UK through our Open Gardens scheme supporting the British Red Cross. These include some opening to the public for the very first time. Alongside spectacular views, enjoy delicious lunches, treasure trails, and plant sales.
And we need your help to make it possible! Whether by opening your garden, volunteering, or simply visiting, you can help us continue our mission: we will never stop helping people in need. Open your garden in aid of the British Red Cross and be part of a movement that’s here for humanity.
If you would like to open your garden and to be included on the website and/or brochure, you can do this through the register your garden link below. This will be reviewed by a member of our team who will be in touch with you about next steps.
A selection of our current Open Gardens to visit are featured on the British Red Cross website Find an Open Garden near you

How your donation could help people in crisis:
- £75 – could allow us to keep 150 survivors of a building fire safe and warm, as we support them to find somewhere to stay for the night.
- £100 – could provide a set of basic kitchen items to help someone start over again after losing everything in devastating floods.
- £200 - could buy a spare set of clothes for a vulnerable family of four, after they have lost everything in a fire or flood.
- £600 - could provide food, drinks and refreshments stock for 100 vulnerable people displaced following an emergency such as flooding or widespread power outage.
- £700 – could pay for a flight to reunite a refugee with their loved ones after being separated.
