Visit Restoration House

Nestled in the heart of Rochester, this enchanting historic walled garden boasts stunning formal and herbaceous features, including one of the finest surviving box parterres. Marvel at the exceptional yew topiary, a dedicated cutting garden, lush herbaceous borders, exotic greenhouses, and potting sheds, as well as the remarkable restoration of a grand 17th-century Italian Renaissance water garden.

Privately owned and meticulously maintained, with exquisite brickwork, pathways, and statues, this garden exudes immense charm and ambition, remaining one of Kent’s best-kept secrets.

Restoration House is well signposted from Rochester High Street. If driving, Blue Boar Lane car park is just a five-minute walk away and Crow Lane is your next road on the left, with Restoration House being located on your left as you head along Crow Lane. If travelling by train, Rochester station is just a seven-minute walk away.
