Garden description for webpage (200 words maximum) Example: The walled garden is undoubtedly an impressive feature alongside Brechin Castle. This 13-acre sloping garden is considered by many as ‘one of the finest private gardens in Scotland’. Its foundations date back to the 4th Earl of Panmure between 1701 and 1708, but the present layout is the work of William, the 1st Baron of Panmure, who succeeded to the estates in 1787. The grounds contain several mature trees that have survived hundreds of years. There is plenty to take in at all times of the year from rhododendron and azalea-flanked vistas in spring to formal topiary hedges and graceful hedges in winter.
