Leave a legacy gift in your will and help people in crisis
A gift in your will can change lives. Find out more about creating your own legacy by supporting our charity work with a donation.
You have the power to shape a brighter tomorrow. By leaving a gift in your will to the British Red Cross, you can build a legacy that helps people during their darkest hours and supports the most vulnerable in our communities.
25% of our total funding comes from gifts in wills and by pledging your support to us, you will help us support those in crisis when an emergency hits. It doesn’t matter how large or small the donation is, every gift helps us support those most in need.
We can help you with making or updating your will, and with advice on leaving a legacy gift to the British Red Cross. It’s a chance to make a lasting impact – join us in transforming lives.
Wills that give back
Every November, participating solicitors waive their usual fees when writing a basic will in return for a voluntary donation to Will Aid charities.
Help for the executor of a will
If you are administering a loved one's will, we can help. Acting as the executor of a will can be challenging, but the British Red Cross provides the guidance and support you need, especially when a legacy gift is involved. Get guidance on executor duties, contacting us, managing assets, and tax obligations.

Donate in memory
Donating or fundraising in memory is a special way to remember someone special. Their memory will live on through our work as we support people in crisis.
Why leave a gift in your will?
Every donation to the British Red Cross carries a unique personal story, yet they all share the power to make a difference. Your generous gift will help fund our response to crises in the UK and around the world, and help people in their darkest moments.
