'Web of Connections' video transcript
There’s always someone we can turn to for help when we need it.
Here’s an activity to help you remember the people you have around you who can support you.. You’ll need a pen and paper.
Start by drawing yourself in the middle of the paper.
Write the names of everyone you could safely ask for support around yourself, starting with the people you are closest to.
Draw a line connecting you to them.
Ask yourself: How many people do you know? How far away do these people live? How can you contact them?
Now write down all the ways in which they help you, and how you help them too.
Finally, think about why having connections with others is important, and how they help you manage when you feel worried.
When you’ve finished, pause and ask yourself – what have you learned?
What might you do differently now you have done this activity?
