The Red Cross Red Crescent Movement is supporting people across Afghanistan

Last updated: 20 September 2024

A series of earthquakes - reaching 6.3 magnitude - hit western Afghanistan near Herat city in October 2023.

These earthquakes hit at a time when people in Afghanistan are already struggling to survive.

The country is facing a third year of drought-like conditions and second year of crippling economic decline.
